Royal Commission Community Meetings

 

Overview

Between 14 and 27 October 2016 the Royal Commission will hold a series of community meetings throughout the Northern Territory.

The purpose of these meetings is to provide organisations, individuals and community leaders with information about the Royal Commission.

The meetings are also an opportunity to have an open discussion so organisations and individuals, including young people and families, can raise issues they think the Royal Commission needs to hear about, such as:

The Royal Commission will also hold a number of special youth forums. These will be open to young people up to the age of 25. While parents and carers are welcome to attend the youth forums, they are an opportunity for the Commissioners to hear directly from young people. Youth workers and other members of the community should attend the general community meetings rather than the youth forums.
