Overview

This conference will focus on the theme Strengthening healthcare systems to promote safety and health of women and families. It will provide a platform for information sharing and the exchange of ideas to generate best practices for preventing and/or reducing the impacts of violence against women, children and families. It will cover a range of issues related to violence among women, children and families through sessions focused on research practice innovations and policy initiatives.

Prior to the conference, a pre-conference workshop will offer participants the opportunity to share ideas for working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people around issues of violence against women, children and families.

Students are strongly encouraged to attend this conference and will be offered student-specific sessions to network and meet senior professionals and mentors.
