National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) 5th Annual Symposium

Overview

This year, the annual symposium will focus on research translation and will follow the theme Embedding research into health care: building a culture of quality. It aims to create a culture in health care that focuses on quality, underpinned by strong research evidence.

The Advanced Health Research and Translation Centres will be presenting at the symposium on how they are delivering on embedding research into health care and how a culture of quality is being built in their jurisdictions, frameworks and areas of need. Discussion around effective strategies for embedding health and medical research evidence into practice, including successful collaboration, changing organisation culture and sustainable capacity building will also be addressed.

The symposium will include presentations from various key note speakers and some of Australia's leading researchers. Delegates will be encouraged to share information and discuss opportunities and challenges faced when attempting to incorporate big data into health care. Delegates will also be given networking opportunities as part of the symposium.
