This meeting will focus on the theme Unmasking out collective history and pride in our global identity. The meeting is aimed at connecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous health professionals from around the world to work towards an integrated approach to improving health care and health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The meeting will include presentations from guest speakers from Australia and around the world on topics relating to indigenous knowledge, culture, experiences and identity in professional practice and health care.
Prior to the commencement of the meeting, a dedicated student day and inaugural hall of fame gala dinner will be held on Sunday 6 November. Also, following the meeting, the Lowitja Institute will be hosting an International Indigenous Health and Wellbeing Conference (please see links below for more information).
