Introduction to Central Australians Aboriginal Cultures and Context

 

Overview

This one day workshop combines local Arrernte knowledge, discussions about culture and how to work with local people. The course explores of cross cultural communications and introduces the concept of cultural safety and Aboriginal Cultures in Central Australia.

It also outlines the health status of Aboriginal peoples, the social determinants of health and how health influences all aspects of life. This course is valuable for all people who live and work in Central Australia or are undertaking short term employment/study placements.
