2016 Australian reconciliation barometer

Abstract

This report presents the findings from the 2014-2016 Australian reconciliation barometer survey. The first survey was launched in 2007 as part of the Reconciliation Barometer research project which aimed to develop a tool to measure the progress of reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous Australians.

The objective of the Australian reconciliation barometer is to identify the attitudes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous Australians hold about each other, and about reconciliation in Australia. It also attempts to highlight opportunities for moving the relationship forward, towards a greater reconciled, shared unity.
