HealthInfoNet win the ECU Vice-Chancellor's Staff Excellence Award

Date posted: 22 November 2017

To finish our year on a high in our 20th celebration year, the team at the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet were acknowledged by Edith Cowan University (ECU), and have won the 'Inspirational Team' award at the 2017 ECU Vice-Chancellor's Staff Excellence Awards. The Awards recognise and reward ECU staff who exemplify the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence. The HealthInfoNet was acknowledged for delivering 20 years of high quality research outcomes at ECU and being recognised worldwide for our contribution in helping to close the gap in health. We were also commended for our contributions to ECU, and for our professional and committed staff.

Professor Neil Drew, Director of the HealthInfoNet, said 'It is a great honour to be part of this wonderful team and I congratulate all our staff for the work they do every single day honouring the ECU values of integrity, respect and excellence. While our work is not motivated by the thought of accolades it is very gratifying to receive the recognition of peers and colleagues. In accepting the award I also want to also acknowledge the role of the wider HealthInfoNet team of supporters, funders, advisory boards members, consultants, partners and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities throughout Australia who motivate and inspire us to be the best that we can be.'
