Free webinar: how we can protect children from cancer-causing virus

Date posted: 17 August 2017

The free webinar hosted by Dr Lloyd Einsiedel highlights a cancer-causing virus which has so far affected 50% of adults in remote communities. The disease, Human T-Lymphotropic Virus type 1 (HTLV-1), has taken hold of many Indigenous people living in remote areas. The virus is related to Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and there is no vaccine to prevent it nor drugs to treat the condition. The webinar titled 'Eradicating a deadly virus: HTLV-1' aims to eliminate the disease and shares way to protect children from the virus.

The free informative session will be held on Monday 11 September 2:00 PM AEST and will be followed by Q&A time.
