First interim state public health plan public consultation

The West Australian (WA) Department of Health has released the First interim state public health plan for consultation across WA.

Professor Tarun Weeramanthri, the Chief Health Officer of the WA Department of Health, would like to engage with interested stakeholders across the state to seek feedback on this document, as well as gather ideas on how the WA Department of Health can work with their partners into the future.

Although the key focus of this Interim state public health plan is to support local governments in the development of their local public health plans, this plan may also be used by all agencies and organisations with an interest in protecting, promoting and improving the health and well-being of Western Australians and helping to reduce the incidence of preventable illness.
