Robert Menzies is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, coordinating the Masters of Vaccines in Public Health, and a Senior Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales.

Robert has worked in the field of communicable disease control, specialising in vaccine preventable disease epidemiology, the evaluation of immunisation programs and applying for vaccines to improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. He joined the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance of Vaccine Preventable Disease in 2002, where he completed his PhD on the epidemiologic analysis of routinely collected data on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, including the application of immunisation and epidemiological research to benefit those most in need.

Dr Menzies interests lie in the population health aspects of vaccination, including the impact of vaccination on disease burden; monitoring and improving the implementation and delivery of programs; assessing vaccine effectiveness; and investigating vaccine safety and the impacts on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
