Dr Amanda Lee

Senior Advisor


Professor Amanda Lee is a Senior Advisor with The Australian Prevention Partnership Centre and Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland, Curtin University, Griffith University and the Queensland University of Technology.  She is also Nutrition Consultant for Nganampa Health Council.

Amanda has over 35 years’ experience working as a practitioner and academic and currently serves on both national and international advisory and working groups. Some of these include:

Amongst other recent research projects, Amanda scoped a new national nutrition policy for Australia, finalised the national Department of Health Healthy Weight Guide website, synthesised evidence to prioritise obesity policy actions in state jurisdictions, developed the Healthy Diets Australian Standardised Affordability and Pricing methods, and revised the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet’s Review of nutrition and growth among Indigenous peoples.

Amanda’s research interests lie in nutrition, obesity, preventative health, dietary guidelines, food price and affordability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nutrition.
